Assumptions
Fees arrive evenly

The monthly run-rate spreads the whole pipeline across the months you enter. Real collections arrive in lumps when matters resolve.

The bridge ceiling is a ceiling

The only advance percentage assumed is for the settlement bridge, up to 90 percent of the firm’s fee on a signed settlement. The estimator applies it to the whole expected pipeline as an upper bound. Matters without a signed settlement would not qualify for it.

Assumed size bands only

A facility type appears in range when the ceiling reaches its assumed minimum size. The range runs from the smallest reachable minimum to the lesser of the ceiling and the largest reachable maximum.

Existing balance is senior

Whatever is outstanding is subtracted from the ceiling before sizing. Intercreditor terms, liens and covenants are not modeled.

Frequently asked questions

How the docket estimate is built and what it leaves out.

What will my firm’s docket support?

This estimator turns your open contingency matters into an expected fee pipeline, then compares it with illustrative facility size bands. The bands are planning assumptions, not terms offered by Criterica Capital or any capital provider. The result is an indicative range for planning. It is not a quote, an approval or an offer.

How is the expected fee pipeline calculated?

Open matters times the average expected fee per matter times the share you expect to resolve with a fee. The monthly run-rate divides that pipeline by the months you expect it to take to resolve.

Where do the capital figures come from?

From illustrative planning assumptions built into the tool, not from any provider’s terms. The settlement bridge is assumed at up to 90 percent of the firm’s fee on a signed settlement, and each facility type carries an assumed size band. Actual sizes and terms are set by the capital provider.

Why does an existing facility reduce the range?

A lender treats the docket as one pool of future fees. Balance already owed against it is subtracted before new capital is sized, so the range shrinks by the amount outstanding.

What happens after I run the estimate?

Apply for firm capital and send a docket summary with case type, venue, stage and expected resolution. The firm portfolio health scan is a written read of the docket with no obligation to borrow. A full review looks at case-level files, collections history and venue mix.
